WORLD BOOK DAY

For World Book Day, we focussed on a book called 'Dreamer' by Brian Moses and Bee Willey.

The book had a lot of really interesting and important themes that we discussed in class. As a class, we decided to focus on one theme - Whaling. We researched 'Whaling' and what it meant as well as looking into past and present events around this subject. 

We discussed the features of a newspaper report and then wrote our own report about 'Whaling'. As well as the reports, we decided to create our own Moari Whale art which links to a English unit that we have just finished.
