Our Pastoral Care Team - Our Vision
OFSTED – ‘Pupils know whom to go to if they need help and commented that ‘if you have any worries you know who to go to and it will be sorted out.’
At Lyme Community Primary school we make every effort to make sure our students enjoy school and become enthusiastic, lifelong learners. We aim to prepare our children to be responsible citizens who have the confidence and adaptability to meet the challenges of the changing world.
We understand that a positive sense of self and the ability to form good relationships are the key to future happiness and success. We take our responsibility of providing a warm and friendly environment where children feel valued and respected very seriously.
Parents are encouraged to speak to their child's class teacher or Mrs Lammond, our Pastoral Manager, should they have any worries or concerns regarding their child's social and emotional development.

How it works
Any child in the school can ask to speak to Mrs Lammond or Mrs Bradbury if they have a problem or worry about school or at home.
Our teachers can also refer a pupil if they have concerns about them.
If parents would like one of the Pastoral Care Team to see their child they can arrange this via the school office, phone call or email.
When a child has been identified as needing help they will work with Mrs Bradbury (either 1 to 1 or in a small group) on a programme designed to, over a prescribed number of sessions, provide the children with tools and strategies to manager their feelings.
