Welcome to this year's Online Safety Ambassadors!

Our Online Safety Ambassadors are a group of children (from Year 2 to Year 6) who work throughout the school to make sure that the children (and adults) know how to stay safe online.

Their main responsibility is the planning of and running of our Online Safety Week/Days throughout the year. They also help to raise awareness of Online Safety, help to communicate the pupil's voice and ensure that children know how to report a danger. For example, a suggestion from our previous Online safety ambassadors is a worry box in each classroom, so children can let us know if there is something bothering them when they go online. The children also help to maintain and check our computing equipment is safe and ready to use.

Throughout the year, the ambassadors have lead assemblies, taught lessons and helped to support teachers with Online Safety. This year's group of ambassadors really want to focus on being kind online, age restrictions and use of social media. After our last meeting, they have each gathered pupil's ideas and opinions about Online safety in our school and will feed this back at our next meeting. This will help us plan our next steps.

Safer Internet Day was a huge success! Our Online Safety Ambassadors lead a whole school assembly addressing this year's theme of SCAMS! They created their own role play scenarios to highlight the dangers of online scams and shared how to stay safe online. The children particularly enjoyed taking part in the Kahoot quiz. Our KS2 ambassadors also read a series of Online Safety stories to our EYFS and KS1 classes which they thoroughly enjoyed.

They also helped to introduce and promote our Online Safety Competition! All children were invited to write their own eBook about online Scams. We had some fantastic entries and we found it hard to choose a winner! Scroll down to see some of the fabulous stories our children created.
