It is half term! But I know some of you will still want things to do so there is some new information about phonics and maths that you can do at home that I'll be leaving up from now on!
As for some challenges, here are a few nice ones for you to this this week!
(You can send pictures to the school facebook page, email firstname.lastname@example.org, or upload it to their Evidence Me.)
Last week's superstars!
Rather than me giving you a sound a week, from now on if you want to practise at home you can use the DfE's new phonics videos. There is a new lesson each day so you can start now and follow along, and there's a few from the past weeks if you want to have an extra challenge! https://wandleenglishhub.org.uk/lettersandsounds/reception
Here is one of their videos below, it is quite long so if you need to split it up that's fine! As always feel free to send some pictures of what you've been doing!
Here is a link to the youtube channel with the Geraldine videos! https://www.youtube.com/user/breakthruchris/featured
Our number of the week is FINALLY 20! We've made it.
Instead of new challenges for Maths at home use https://whiterosemaths.com/homelearning/early-years/ it has got new lessons each day with videos and activities for you to do at home.
And here is a link to a playlist with 10-20 so you can keep practising over and over!
The final thing we haven't covered is to order numbers 1-20. This doesn't mean just saying them, but having the numbers in front of you and putting them in the correct order. Make some by writing them all, cutting them out, and seeing if you can sort them. If it's too tricky try just up to 10 at first!
If you are off school, here are some free learning resources you can use to keep your brain busy (ALONGSIDE DAILY READING!)
